Cammy Black – Vocals/guitar
Andrew Dickson – Acoustic guitar
Jason Downie – Bass guitar
George McFarlane – Drums/vocals
We would describe our music as… honest, heart on your sleeve rock ‘n’ roll.
Background information: Formed initially as an acoustic project between songwriters and veterans of the local scene, the original line up of Ross (Dickson) and Cammy soon realised that the songs they were writing were needing a full band sound to achieve the potential they could hear in their heads. Friends were recruited to form the band and a record deal was signed with Homebound Records in Germany from rough demos recorded on mobile phones. Debut EP “The Dividing Line” was released in September 2016 to rave reviews and since then the band have completed two European tours. They released their debut album ‘Young Poets’ on the 2nd of June 2017. Founding member Ross has now left the band, along with the original bassist and drummer. Jason Downie and George McFarlane have now joined the line-up.
Plans for 2019
Speaking of their plans for 2019, the band said, ““We have a lot to be grateful for in 2018, we worked with some incredible people, played some of the best shows to date and got to work on the follow up to Young Poets. Working on the next record at Circa 16 over the past few months, we’ve been locked away putting everything we have into making the best record we have in us, and also setting us up for what’s going to be a stellar 2019.
The new record will be out and we’ll get back out on the road in support of it, doing what we love most. We’ve been working on the next main tour for a while now and we’ll be heading back over to Europe at the end of April for a run of shows, hopefully we can announce all the dates real soon. There’s also plans for more European shows later in the year so we’ll keep you posted. It’s also been a while since we played in Glasgow and were keen to get back up with the full band, we always have a blast in Glasgow so we’ll be putting something together before we head off to Europe again in April. No sooner than when were back from Europe and we’ll be back out for a short run in the UK & a couple of festivals. Really excited about these shows and to get to more places within the UK.
There’s a lot of moving parts going on behind the scenes right now with 13 Crowes & 2019 will see these all come together and create what is going to be a really fun year for us. We’re just super excited to get some new music out there for everyone to hear, a new single release shouldn’t be too far away.”
