Are you a musician aged 14-19? Apply to tour with Hit The Road now!

Well-known touring project Hit The Road are looking for performers aged between 14 and 19 to apply for the opportunity to tour Scotland.

The project helps young musicians who are early in their music-making career to access opportunities that will help them learn about what touring involves and the music industry as a whole. In addition to the tour itself, participants will be able to access training workshops with industry professionals. Hit The Road will take three acts on tour, with each act performing a headline gig in their hometown.

Previous tours have included Dumfries & Galloway-based musicians Zoe Bestel, What About Wolves and Elia Davidson.

Elia Davidson

Elia Davidson – who toured with Hit The Road last year and headlined the Dumfries gig – commented, “Hit The Road was a fantastic opportunity. Prior to the tour I took part in songwriting workshops with some great Scottish artists such as Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), Findlay Napier, Callum Wiseman (Prides) and Ross Leighton (Fatherson). And the tour itself – particularly having the opportunity to play at Oran Mor in Glasgow – was a great experience. The whole thing is run by some really supportive people at the Scottish Music Centre and I’d encourage anyone to apply.”

Anyone aged between 14-19 can apply, and they must live in Scotland and be interested in developing their musical career. Those who have previous touring experience or are signed or associated with a professional record label or professional management cannot apply.
